Who we are

The charity is governed by a board of six trustees supported by a Chief Executive, seven full-time and three part-time members of staff. In addition, volunteers provide support through dedicated roles in our office and by helping out with events and activities throughout the country.

Our Scientific Medical Advisory Panel, made up of top scientists within the field of meningitis in the UK, recommend applications for funding to the Trustees on the basis of scientific merit and provide advice on policy and strategy.

Meningitis UK is also a member of the Association of Medical Research Charities (AMRC) - the leading umbrella organisation representing medical research charities.
