How we can help
At Meningitis UK, we like to help! Give our fundraising team a call on 0117 947 6320 or email them via fundraising@meningitisuk.org and they will be more than happy to give you information about events, hints on how to prepare, tips on raising money, sponsorship forms, and of course, plenty of moral support and encouragement to get you on your way!
Everyone who takes part in an event, or organises their own, will get a free Search 4 a Vaccine t-shirt (or running vest if appropriate). If you are organising your own event we can also send you balloons, banners, and any other resources you might need, such as pin badges and wristbands which you can sell.

If you would like further items to support your event, such as sponsorship forms, t-shirts, collection boxes, balloons, banners, etc, please call our fundraising team on 0117 947 6320 or email them via fundraising@meningitisuk.org
We can also send you meningitis awareness resources such as 'check the symptoms' fridge magnets and wallet-sized cards, What you need to know about meningitis leaflets and Know the symptoms posters. Please go to our dedicated awareness materials online order form to request these items.

How to send us your money after the event
So, you've run a marathon, jumped out of a plane, held a coffee morning or spent the day washing cars. You've collected in all your sponsorship money, what do you do next? Show us the money!
You can lodge the money raised into your own account, and either telephone us on 0117 947 6320 to give us the donation by debit or credit card, or simply write a cheque for the full amount made payable to MENINGITIS UK and send it to:
Meningitis UK, Freepost RSST-TBAK-SJEE, Link House, Britton Gardens, Kingswood, Bristol, BS15 1TF.
Alternatively, to lodge the money straight into the Meningitis UK bank account, you will need a paying-in slip. Please telephone us on 0117 947 6320 or email fundraising@meningitisUK.org and we will send you the slip. You can take the paying-in slip to any of the following banks: Barclays, Bank of Scotland, Royal Bank of Scotland or Northern Bank.
Online fundraising
One of our fantastic supporters Thomas Conibere is competing in 30 half marathons before he is 30 years of age in 2012, all in aid of Meningitis UK. Tom is a fantastic online fundraiser and has set up a Flikr page for his photos, a Facebook event page, and a fantastic blog, all of which are great examples of sucessful online fundraising and awareness raising.

Raise money online with Justgiving
Justgiving is an easy way to raise money for your event online. You can create your own webpage, telling people what you are doing, and raise money securely online.
All you have to do is go to www.justgiving.com/muk/raisemoney/ and follow the simple step-by-step instructions to create your online fundraising page.
Then email the link to your new fundraising webpage to all your family and friends. They can then donate online with a credit/debit card. Not only does Justgiving make it easy for sponsors to donate by card, but it also cuts down on your time spent chasing people for cash with a paper sponsor form!
Justgiving Widget
You can even add a smaller version of your page (called a widget) to your email signature or your own website, to tell everyone about what you are doing and see how your total is growing.
Justgiving Mini Moo cards
Half the size of a business card, Mini Moo cards are perfect for passing on your Justgiving address to friends and family offline. The cards have an image on one side and your Justgiving address and text on the reverse. You can choose from over 100 images or upload your own. A pack of 100 Mini Moo Cards costs £10.19. Visit the Moo website to get yours now and encourage friends and family take your url home and sponsor you asap!
