Meningitis UK response to Meningitis B Vaccine Trials
Meningitis UK were encouraged by the news on Friday 20th October on the BBC about the meningitis B vaccine trials which are taking place in the Thames Valley area. We would like to emphasise to members of the public that until a vaccine which protects the under twos is introduced into the Child Immunisation Programme, fundraising is still essential so vital research can continue, as there is no guarantee that this current vaccine trial will be successful. Meningitis UK remains positive that there will be a vaccine in years to come to protect against all forms of meningitis.
