Turn calories into coins for charity

In celebration of the arrival of British summertime, Meningitis UK is launching its second national Slim into Summer Campaign. To encourage people to spring into action, the charity is offering a free slimming pack to every participant including slimming hints and tips and a slimming resources guide, plus regular email newsletters and support throughout. Meningitis UK know that the more support you have, the more likely you are to succeed, so they will also put participants in touch with other slimmers in their local area.

Roger Loughlin, who took part in Slim into Summer last year and lost over two stone and raised more than £750 for Meningitis UK, says "This is a charity very close to my heart because I suffered from meningitis five years ago. It was really rewarding to lose two stone and raise money for such a worthwhile cause. I would really recommend this as a great way to shift those extra pounds. I would like to thank all my friends and family and everyone in F G Wilsons for their support."

Meningitis UK's Chief Executive, Steve Dayman said "We hope that Slim into Summer 2007 will help people to become more healthy and that knowing every pound they loose will raise money to fund vital research into eradicating meningitis will help to spur them on."

Slim into Summer will run for a period of three months, starting when the clocks go forward on Sunday 25th March until the end of June, in time for summer. To register for your free slimming pack or for more information, please phone Laura Chapman on 0117 373 73 73.
